Privacy

Visiting the site. The site is hosted by Cloudflare, which, like every host, briefly processes your IP address to deliver the pages and to keep the site safe.

Cookies and analytics. Only with your permission, I use Google Analytics 4 to see how the site is used: which pages people visit and how they found the site. It runs through Cloudflare Zaraz and only starts after you click "Accept" in the cookie notice. Refusing is just as easy, and you can change your choice at any time through "Cookie settings" at the bottom of every page. Without your permission, no analytics cookies are set. Analytics data is kept for 14 months.

Ad measurement. Only if you say yes to "Marketing" (or click "Accept"), the site lets Meta know which pages you visit and whether you sent the contact form, never what you wrote in it. I use that to see whether my ads on Facebook and Instagram reach the right people. It runs through Cloudflare Zaraz, which passes it on to Meta together with technical details such as your IP address and browser, and may set a cookie from Meta. For collecting this, Meta and I are jointly responsible; what Meta does with it afterwards falls under Meta's privacy policy. Changing your mind works the same way: "Cookie settings" at the bottom of every page.

Links in my emails. Some links in my emails and posts go through stedistudio.com/go/… before taking you to the page. That way I count the click: the time, which link, where it was placed and the country, without cookies and without storing your IP address. When the link leads to one of my own sites, it carries a label (UTM) so that, if you accept analytics there, I can see the visit came from that link.

Getting in touch. When you email or call me, I keep your message and contact details for as long as our conversation or project runs, and as long as the law requires me to keep business records. I use Google Workspace for email. I don't share your details with anyone else, and I don't send newsletters unless you ask for one.

The contact form. When you use the form on the contact page, your details, your message and any files you add are sent to me as one email, through Cloudflare's email service. Nothing is stored on the website itself. I keep that email like any other message, as described above. The same goes for the email address you leave to test one of my apps: I only use it to invite you.

Your rights. Under the GDPR you can ask me what I hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, or object to its use. One email is enough: dimi@stedistudio.com. If you're not happy with my answer, you can turn to the Belgian Data Protection Authority (dataprotectionauthority.be).

Links. The site links to LinkedIn. What LinkedIn does with your data is up to LinkedIn, not me.
